SIMSHELP - CHEATS - TIPS - TECHNICAL - FOR THE PC                                                                   

There are 4 different combinations:

1. You've got the original Sims 3 and World adventures

2. You've got the original Sims 3 but a downloaded version or copy of World adventures

3. You've got a downloaded or copied version of Sims 3 and got the original of World Adventures

4. You've got a downloaded or copied version of Sims 3 and World Adventures

Note: A Poweriso file counts as an original version! (Deamon, Alcohol = copy, download)

In short terms: Everything were you need a no-cd crack for is a copy/download

1. THE SIMS 3 + WORLD ADVENTURES ORIGINAL OR POWERISO
   
   You shouldn't have any problems installing and updating this one
   
   
   

2. THE SIMS 3 ORIGINAL + WORLD ADVENTURES DOWNLOADED
   
   This also will not cause many problems. Place the no-cd crack only AFTER the updates of World Adventures. So wait till you will get the message that The Sims 3 has been updated to version  x.x.x. Only after that you can place the no-cd crack
   
   
   

3. THE SIMS 3 DOWNLOADED + WORLD ADVENTURES ORIGINAL
   
   With this combination you will certainly get problems when you update the game.
   Solution:
   1. Make a backup of your game data (see bottom)
   2. Do you've got downloads? Make a backup of these too (see bottom)
   3. Remove the Sims 3 via 'Configuration screen' or via the 'Start menu' or you can use an other program  that can remove program or games too, like Revo or Advanced Uninstaller Pro
   4. Remove The Sims 3 folder in Program Files/Electronic Arts/ The Sims 3 (if it still exist)
   5. Also remove The Sims 3 folder at My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3
   6. Install the Sims 3 again
   7. Don't place the no-cd crack yet and don't play the game!!!
   8. Restore the back up of your game data
   9. Install World Adventures – game will update now
   10. Place back your downloads
   
   
   

4. THE SIMS 3 DOWNLOADED + WORLD ADVENTURES DOWNLOADED
   
   This combination will give problems also when trying to update.
   Solution:
   1. Follow the instructions given for The Sims 3 downloaded + World Adventures original (3)
   2. Then go to the instructions given for The Sims 3 original + World Adventures downloaded (2)
   
   

MAKING A BACK UP OF YOUR GAME DATA

1. Open 'My Documents' folder

2. Look for the 'Electronic Arts' folder and open it

3. Look for ' The Sims 3' folder (don't open it!)

4. Click with your right mouse button on The Sims 3 folder and choose 'Copy'

5. Go to your desktop, and click with your right mouse button again and choose 'Paste'

6. Your The Sims 3 folder is now on your desktop

RESTORE YOUR GAME DATA

1. Go to The Sims 3 folder on your desktop

2. Click with your right mouse button on it and choose 'Copy'

3. Go to the 'My documents' folder

4. Look for the 'Electronic Arts' folder and open it

5. Select The Sims 3 folder(if it already exist) and 'Delete' it

6. Click with your right mouse button and choose 'Paste'

7. Your back up is placed back now

MAKING A BACKUP OF YOUR DOWNLOADS

1. Go with 'My Computer' to the place where you have installed The Sims 3 (most likely it will be your C: drive)

2. Look for the 'Program Files' folder and open it

3. Look for the 'Electronic Arts' folder and open it

4. Look for the  'Sims 3'  folder and open it

5. Look for the 'Mods' folder and click on it with your right mouse button and 'Copy' it

6. Go to your desktop, click on your right button and choose 'Paste'

7. Also 'Copy' and 'Paste' the Resource.cfg file to your desktop

RESTORE YOUR DOWNLOADS

1. Click with your right mouse button on the 'Mods' folder at your desktop

2. Go with 'My Computer' to the place where you have installed The Sims 3 (most likely it will be your C: drive)

3. Look for the 'Program Files' folder and open it

4. Look for the 'Electronic Arts' folder and open it

5. Look for 'The Sims 3' folder and open it

6. Click with your right mouse button on an open space and choose 'Paste'

7. Now do the same with the Resource.cfg file
