ODD BEHAVIOUR
It often happens that your game behaves strangely or it closes all of a sudden.
To find out whether this is caused by downloads, your own families or houses, you can do this simple test.
- Go to the folder The Sims 3 that you will find in My Documents/Electronic Arts
- Right-click on the folder and select Rename or Change Name
- Rename the folder to The Sims 3_Old
- Start your game
You now have a complete new game, your own families and houses have disappeared. But when the game behaves correctly now, you'll know what caused the problems.
No noticeable difference ? - The cause lies somewhere else.
You can restore your old game:
- Remove the folder The Sims 3 from My Documents/Electronic Arts
- Rename the folder The Sims 3_Old to The Sims 3 again
- Start your game
