TUTORIAL - NIGHTLIFE Always wanted to go out with your Sims? Now available: Sims2 Nightlife! Dates Does your Sim have a lovewish, but there is no love in his/or her life and your Sim is very depressed? To begin with, you have to find someone who your Sim is really attracted to, someone with a good character. Make sure that you at least will be friends. Talk a lot with the potential date and invite him or her for a drink! Buy, if necessary, a lovepotion from the gypsy woman (click on the phone, choose services and match making service and invite her over). If she’s at the lot, you can click on her and buy the lovepotion. If your date has arrived, make sure your sim smells nice! If it really didn’t work out with the dating, you can call the match making service again and if the Gypsy has arrived on your lot, you can click on her and ask her to find a match for you (blind date). Be sure to pay enough money, or your Sim will get a mismatch from hell! Datemeter If your Sim is dating, a kind of a thermometer will appear in the right corner of the screen. Make sure that you have a nice night, talk a lot to each other or go dancing. Add some romance and your Sim’s date is a success! Gypsy woman Call the Gypsy woman if you would like a nice perfume, or a drink that cures your vampirism. You can also buy another drink that changes the wishes of your Sim. Groups Your Sim does not have a date? Is he/she ashamed to walk in the town all by him/herself? Don’t worry! Make sure to have some friends, that’s a start! To make a group; take the (cell)phone and choose groups. Choose manage groups. With this option you can control who is in the group. You can make up all kinds of trips with this group, just for fun etc. There are no time limits for fun. Vampires A sim who has vampirism is suffering and will not bear the daylight. They are the ‘demons’ of the nightlife and will only come out at night. To make sure that they make it throughout the day, you will need to buy your Sim a coffin (the Deep Sleeper). The sunbeams will not enter this coffin and your sim will ‘sleep’ unharmed for the rest of the day. Are you tired of your vampire Sim because he/she can only go outside during the night? Call the Gypsy and purchase the Vamprocillin-D potion. Let your Sim drink the potion and the vampirism illness is cured! Garages Ofcourse you would like to have a garage for the cool sportscar of your Sim! Imagine it could be damaged when in rain or snow! If you would like to build a garage, click on the ‘Build mode’ button. Click on the ‘garage’ button and now put in a concrete or brick driveway (not extension yet!). Now place a driveway extension piece. You’re allmost finished. Now build a wall between the driveway and the extension piece. Make a square to the back and go to the garage button again, to purchase the OpenAuto Garage Door. Place it in the wall between the driveway and the extension piece. Now place your car in the garage. If you drive away, the garage will now open and close automatically. (make sure you put the car IN the garage). Automobiles Does your Sim have a job, then ofcourse it is not nice to join the carpool every time again. Now your Sims can have their own cars! You can find them in the Buy mode, click on the miscallenious button and then on the car button that appears. Place them on the driveway or in the garage you just have built. Backpack/Inventory Now your Sims can carry all kinds of stuff with them in their inventory (backpack icon). It’s really convenient when they move, they can just take the stuff with them! If your sim wants to move, click on the option rewards, inventory. Now you can click on the ‘hand tool’ and put everything that you’d like in the inventory. Parties/Going out Another new feature is that your sim can go out with friends! Go out to dinner, bowling or to the nightclubs! Click on the phone and call the taxi, or go with your own car! It’s all up to you! New Buy/wear a lot of new fun outfits! You can find them in your Sim’s wardrobe or at the shops. By the way, it’s much more fun now to redecorate and rebuild your Sim’s house!! New objects Would you like to become a dj? Practise with the professional Dj booth! Would you like to learn how to play poker? The 52 pickup card table is really made for you! Would you like to have more Body skills?This is really a lot of fun: the ElektroDance sphere Would you like to be a singer or play instruments in a band?Tadaa: the VocoPhonicSim Karaoke machine Your Sim cannot bear the daylight? Buy the Deep Sleeper (coffin). Also fun for your ‘normal’ Sims. Having fun? Friends around? Go to the photo booth and let your picture be taken! Hints/tips Look out when your Sim is in town (especially at night!) for Vampires. If you become friends with a vampire, he/she can (and probably will) bite you in the neck, with the consequence that you will become a vampire too!
