TUTORIAL - BON VOYAGE In Bon Voyage you have a kind of ‘mission/assignment’ to collect as many tokens/souvenirs etc  as you can. I myself had a few questions while attempting to fulfill all of the assignments… and I can imagine that you had some too. So if you wonder how you have to do some assignments, you can read here how to complete them. Also you'll find a description of how to build your own hotel at the bottom of this tutorial. Good luck!   Book the vacation You can book by clicking on the computer or on the telephone. Choose the destiny and amount of days you’d like to go and where you’d like to sleep. You can also take another Sim with you.   The assignments   1/45: Try a fruity island treat Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: Go to a community lot or in a hotel and order food. Order the Pineapple Surprise. There you are, your first goal completed!   2/45: Immerse yourself in tradition and culture Destination:  Takemizu village. Goal: See the sights and complete every goal that you can achieve in Takemizu Village.   3/45: ''Yo bro'' with the locals Destination: Twikkii Island Goal:  Greet a Sim who lives on Twikkii Island. These Sims are sometimes hard to find, because almost every tourist knows ‘Yo bro’. If you learn it from a tourist, the assignment will not be completed, but you do know it now, so keep on trying it on everyone that comes at your path!   4/45: Shake that grasskirt on the beach! Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: Go to a community lot with a beach, where they have music speakers on the wall, the ones you cannot click on. Walk up to these speakers and call everyone near that place. Eventually someone will dance. If someone starts to dance the hula, click on the Sim and do the hula!   5/45: Learn to spread relaxation with heat Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: On one of the hotel-lots is a massage table. You will find a masseur next to it. When you click on the masseur you can learn this massage for a small fee.     6/46: Dance with the fire loving locals Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: On a community lot you will find a Sim on a kind of towel on the beach. He’s probably doing nothing or he is dancing with fire. Click on him, then you can learn to dance like that.   7/45: Enjoy your trip Destination: Random Goal: Just go on a holiday for 5 minutes and then go back home.   8/45: Find an island secret. Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: You will need the secret map of Twikkii Island for this. If you have found it, you can go to this secret lot (recognizable with the ‘?’ in front of the lot name). When you have arrived on the lot, you will see a shack, with a witch who’s trying to repair her equipment, because everything has broken. She cannot fix it, she needs your help. Click on her to offer your help, or just fix everything. She will wait until you’ve fixed it and then you will get a voodoo doll from her.   9/45: Explore the wilderniss Destination: Three lakes Goal: Just to go to the Three lakes on holiday, that’s all! Piece of cake!   10/45: Discover a vacation secret Destination: Random Goal: Get a secret map of one of the destinations. If you have got a map, go there on vacation and fulfill the goal on the secret lot. Now you’ve achieved this goal.   11/45: Learn the ancient massage of the Far East Destination: Takemizu Village Goal: I think it already is clear what you’ve got to do here. For the less clear persons among us: Go to the far east, go to the Takemizu Village Resort, There a massage table is present, click on the masseur and then you can learn how to do the massage.   12/45: Learn to dance like the mountain men Destination: Three lakes Goal: Go to a community lot, again with music speakers where you cannot click on (see 4/45). Wait until someone is going to dance, click on that Sim and participate.   13/45: Make a furry friend Destination: Three lakes Goal: You will need the secret map of the Three lakes. Go tho the secret lot, you will meet Bigfoot. Become friends with him, best friend! (Tip: go fishing with him for a while!)   14/45: Join in ancient exercise Destination: Takemizu Village Goal: Go to a community lot and wait for someone who is doing Tai Chi. Click on that Sim and join him. Note: these Sims have to live in the far east.   15/45: Take a bow Destination: Takemizu Village Goal: Learn from the tourists how to bow, now bow to a Sim who lives in het Takemizu Village.   16/45: Follow a guide to 5 new sights Destination: At least 2 holiday destinations Goal: Go on a holiday to... by example Twikki Island. When you’ve arrived, talk to the guide (he’s usually near the taxi stand) and go to all 3 of the sights. When finished, go to another destination. Arrived there? Go to two different sights. Now you’ve completed the goal.   17/45: Third time’s the charm Destination: All three holiday destinations. Goal: Your goal is to have been in all the three holiday destinations. Twikki Island, Three lakes and Takemizu Village.   18/45: Travel like a ninja Destination: Takemizu Village Goal: Go to a community lot, see if you can find the ninja who keeps disappearing in the sky and appears somewhere else. ‘Talk’ to him and choose ‘learn to teleport’. He will ask you a question. If you got the answer right, you will learn to teleport. If it’s wrong, try again! Tried often, still no luck? Type in your cheatwindow: Boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, hold shift whilst clicking on your Sim, look for spawn and then tombstone of L&D. Now you see a tombstone near your Sim. Click on it and search for ‘add neighbor to family’. Now you see all kinds of names appearing. Press more just as long until you’ve found ‘ninja’. Click on his name. Now you’ve added him to your family and he will immediately appear near your Sim. Go to him again and ask if he’d like to teach you teleporting. Did he leave again? Click on the tombstone of L&D and choose ‘get family’. Ask him again.   19/45: Learn a far eastern tale Destination: Takemizu Village Goal: Make sure that you’ve got the map of the Far East. Go there, go to the secret lot. When you’ve arrived, make the zen garden beautiful (also one of the goals). Then do tai chi with the old man (click on him when he’s practicing tai chi, also another goal). When you have practiced long and hard enough, he will tell you the legend.   20/45: Pay homage to an ancient civilization Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: If you’re on Twikkii Island bent, go to the ‘Majestic Ruins of Jumbok IV’. Then go to the waterfall and choose ‘make offering’. Now you’ve completed another goal! When you repeat this long enough you will even receive a gift. Do not put soap in the waterfall, otherwise you will piss off Jumbok IV. You’ve been warned!   21/45: A singing pirate? Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: Go to the ‘South End Beach’, there you will find a pirates ship. Click on the ship and steal the pirates treasure (‘Plunder the captain’s cabin’). When you’ve done it a couple of times, your Sim will run out of the cabin as fast as possible. Now a ghost of a pirate will come outside. Click on the ghost and do some interactions (make jokes etc.) until you can learn the pirates song. If you’ve learned the song, you now go back to the ship and click on it and make sure you’ve done all of the interactions.   22/45: Learn to work out tension the mountain way. Destination: Three lakes Goal: Go to the community lot (the smooth rock spa). There you will find a massage table. Click on the masseur and learn the technique.   23/45: Relax to an Island paradise Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: Just go on a holiday to Twikki Island.   24/45: Make a wish! Destination: Takemizu Village Goal:  On one of the community lots (the lucky shrine park) you will find a small wishing well. Toss a coin and then you will have fulfilled this goal.   25/45: Learn the local ways Destination: All three destinations Goal: Go to Twikkii Island, Takemizu Village  in Three lakes and learn the gestures (take a bow etc.) from these locations.   26/45: Check out local sights Destination: Random Goal: Go to all three sights of at least one destination.   27/45: Stay on the log and win! Destination: Three lakes Goal: Go to the ‘Lumber Mill Range’ and stand on the logs in the water. Invite a sim to join you and make sure that that Sim – if you are playing – falls from his/her log.  If you’re the last one standing, another goal has been achieved!   28/45: What can you discover in the sand? Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: Go to a beach (random) of Twikkii Island, click on the sand and choose ‘Comb for seashells’. Do this a couple of times, you will find nice things!   29/45: Find a lead to hidden secrets Destination: Random Goal: You have to find a map of of one of the three destinations. As soon as you’ve found that map, go to that destination, to the secret lot. The mission now should be completed. If not, complete the assignment on that lot.   30/45: Enjoy a warm cup of tea Destination: Takemizu Village Goal: Go to a hotel or to the secret lot. Click on the tea table, pour in the tea and drink it.   31/45: Fence and navigate on the beach Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: Go to the south end beach where the pirates ship is. Click on the ship and you will see the option Fence with cutlass.   32/45: Find the buried treasure! Destination: Twikkii Island Goal: Go to a lot with a beach and look for the treasure. If you find the box, you have completed the assignment. You can also do this at your Sims lot; just dig for treasures in the garden just as long until you’ve found the treasure box. This might take you 25 – 30 times, but it’s worth it!   33/45: Try a fishy eastern delicacy Destination: Takemizu Village Goal: Go to a food bar, click on chirashi and finish the meal.   34/45: Landscape the zen way Destination: Takemizu Village Goal: Go to a community lot which has a zen garden (you can also do this at the secret lot). Click on the garden and choose ‘groom’. Another task completed.     35/45: Get an album to share with your friends Destination: Random Goal: Shoot pictures when you’re on a holiday. When you get back home, order an album via the computer and now within a few moments the album will be delivered to your home.   36/45: Pound your chest like a true mountaineer Destination: Three lakes Goal: The titel already says it: Learn how to pound your chest like a mountaineer. Also see the tips at goal 3/45.   37/45: Enjoy a meal delivered right to your room Destination: Random Goal: Check into a hotel, order  roomservice. Eat the food you’ve ordered and then you’ve completed this task.   38/45: Be guided to all the local sights Destination: Alle 3 destinations Goal: You’ve got to see all the sights in Twikkii Island, Takemizu Village and in Three lakes.   39/45: Use those tiles and win! Destination: Takemizu Village Goal: Go to ‘the lucky shrine park’. Look for a mahjong table, click on it and play mahjong. You have to win the game (if your Sim is the only one left at the end, you’ve won).   40/45: Uncover all the vacation secrets Destination: All 3 destinations. Goal: You have to achieved all the missions of the secret lots of all three destinations.   41/45: Enjoy a hearty mountain meal Destination: Three lakes Goal: Go to a community lot (by example the Lumber Mill Range) and buy the Flapjacks. Eat them, and another goal is achieved.   42/45: Tree rings tell an interesting tale Destination: Three lakes Goal: Go to the Lumber Mill Range and walk up to the tree ring. Click on it to examine the thing.   43/45: Become a frequent traveler Destination: Random Goal: To have been on a vacation for at least 5 times.   44/45: Sleep under the stars Destination: Three lakes Goal: Go to the Axe Wood Campgrounds. Check in (make sure that you’re not checked into a hotel) and sleep in the tent. Easy!   45/45: Hit that target Destination: Three lakes Goal:  On the Axe Wood Campgrounds you have to throw an axe into the bullseye of the target.   The souvenir effects With the stuff you can buy or find in the vacation areas, you can achieve specific effects. One example is that your Sim now can (temporarily) can build up their abilities more easier, or can be chased by bees. If you’ve achieved the goals, you have to put all the souvenirs on a rack, click on it . More information about the effect will now appear in the right corner of your screen. You can buy the souvenirs on some community lots. With each destination comes two different souvenirs, it does not matter if you put one or both souvenirs on the shelf for 5 times. You can find the shells on the beach. Go to Twikki Island and click on the beach/sand to look for them. The voodoo dolls you will get from the witchdoctor in the secret lot in Twikki Island if you’ve helped her. (or try the boolprop code: boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, hold shift whilst clicking on your Sim, search for spawn and then for voodoo doll. Click on it and now you Sim has another voodoo doll).   Stuff                                                        Effect 5 souvenirs from Takemizu Village          The skills will be increased more easily 5 souvenirs from Twikki Island                Romantic actions will have more effect 5 souvenirs from Three Lakes                Friendship like actions will have more effect 5 sea shells from the beach                  The blatter will decrease more slowly     Build your own hotel   Building a large beach hotel takes a lot of time. You have to enter the cheat: ‘changelotzoning hotel’ as late as possible, because as soon as you’ve entered the cheat, the building possibilities will decrease largely. When however you wish to alter something in your hotel, using the cheat boolProp dormSpecificToolsDisabled false will enable you to lift the restrictions on building and buying.
