Cheats come in various different forms, but the most well known is Motherlode for an additional 50.000 Simoleans.
With cheats you can - if you would wish so - play the game unattended:
Open the cheatwindow and type: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
Now go to the lot and type in the following cheats:
maxMotives - the motive bars will fill to go green (max.)
motiveDecay off - the motive indicators will be locked
aspirationLevel 9 - the aspirationlevel will fill to the maximum
lockAspiration - the aspiration indicator will be locked
If you also type aging off in the cheat window, your sims will not grow older.
Using the mouse, you can also drag the skills to their maximum values
Of course it is not the intention to play this way, but this gives you a good example of what you can do with cheats.
When you use the boolprop code (boolprop testingcheatsenabled true) in the neighbourhood, you also obtain the possibility for hundreds of options when holding down shift whilst clicking on an object.
HOW TO OPEN THE CHEAT WINDOW
I prefer the following method, but you can follow your own idea about it, as long as the result is the same:
Place the thumb of your left hand on CTRL and push the key. (keep down).
Push the indexfinger of your lefthand on the SHIFT button (also keep it down)
Now with your indexfinger of your right hand strike the C and then release all the keys.
Now a small window appears in the top of your screen. Type the cheat in that window, followed by ENTER.
If you typed the cheat correctly, the window usually will close again. If you misspelled the cheat, the window will remain open, still showing the text you typed in. Try again.
To close the cheat window, you can either type Exit or you can strike the ESC key.
Typing expand will either expand or contract the cheat window |
