NO VISITS When you have deleted your mailbox, you will no longer receive papers, bills etc., but also the neighbours will no longer be visting you, you will not be able to carpool to your job, the schoolbus will not come to pick up your children. This might be very quiet, but it is also very annoying. By deleting your mailbox your lot is now more or less worthless as you cannot buy another mailbox. The only thing you can do now is: 1. Make a note of the neighbourhood-number 2. Make a note of the housenumber 3. Go to Program Files/Maxis/The Sims Open the folder UserData voor the neighbourhood where your lot is, f.e. Neighbourhood1 = UserData, Neighbourhood2 = UserData2, neighbourhood3=UserData3 aso. Now open de folder Houses, select the house with the number you've noted at 2 above If your house is f.e. 4 Sim Lane then delete house04.iff. Now copy any other house.iff file and give it the name of the file you just removed. At least your house has a mailbox again, although your originally built house no longer exists and will be replaced by another building or an empty lot. In a simular way you can create areas where all buildings are exactly the same.
